Political Candidate Policy

Candidates seeking office for local, state, or federal positions are welcome to attend meetings of the Rotary Club of Oconee County. They are encouraged to visit with members during breakfast or during the break after the business meeting and prior to the program. Candidates may introduce themselves and announce the position for which they are seeking when acknowledged by the Club President or Secretary.  

Candidates are not allowed to give campaign speeches to members.

Candidates may bring campaign materials/literature and leave it at the front table with the Club Secretary for members to take as they please. Candidates are not allowed to distribute materials/literature directly to members or place it on the tables.

Candidates are not allowed to use events or fund raisers of the Oconee County Rotary Club as campaigning opportunities.  The Rotary Club of Oconee County does not endorse political parties or political candidates.
